The new billboard has popped up at Market St. and West Evergreen Ave. in Youngstown, urging it's residence to stop the violence.
It was put up by Youngstown United As One, a nonprofit organization founded to uplift communities and put and end to violence in Youngstown.
Asked why they chose a billboard, Darrell Jones, the organization's President, said "we wanted to get a message that would sink in."
"Cease fire. That's the care and love we have for Youngstown...A lot of mothers that lost loved ones to senseless gun killing, they'll see that people care."
The billboard will stay up for 28 days.
