National Roller Skating competition rolls into Hermitage

HERMITAGE, Pa. - The Olympic Fun Center in Hermitage, PA will be hosting the American Roller Skating Championships starting Wednesday June. 14 through Sunday June. 18.
Top speed skaters of all ages from all over the country will be blazing around the roller rink track in hopes of reaching the first place spot.
"All the way down to two years old to all the way up to 70, 80 years old are still skating," Jim McMahon, executive director of Roller Skating Association International told 21 News.
From seasoned veterans to rookies, many of the skaters are reaching speeds as high as 35mph.
The event is open to the public. To view the competition, there is a $5 cover charge per day and for $10, guest will be able to enjoy all of the events.
Time trails will last until 6 p.m. on Wednesday June. 14 and finalists will began their rounds at 8 p.m.
Championship races will take place Friday June. 16 and Saturday June. 17. Championship races will begin at 7 p.m. on Sunday June. 18.
The artistic roller skating will begin June. 26- July. 1.
