BOARDMAN, Ohio - Two Boardman High School teachers have been selected travel to Poland on Sunday to begin a 10-day journey on the Classrooms Without Borders "Poland Personally 2023 Study Seminar."

English teachers, Randy Nord and Dana Safarek will be among 74 educations, superintendents and students from across Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia on this trip.

They will visit historic sites in Warsaw, Lublin, Krakow and Treblinka. They'll even be touring Auschwitz with a Holocaust survivor. The Youngstown Area Jewish Federation is sponsoring their experience.

Both teachers agree that this is an excellent opportunity to add greater dimension and context to their classroom teaching.

"We are extremely honored to be chosen and we look forward to bringing home what we learn into our classrooms and community," Safarek said.
