State Troopers are investigating after a car collided with a train in Columbiana County on Friday.

It happened just after 9:30 a.m. at the Route 154 Crossing near the Rogers Flea Market.

State Troopers tell 21 News that the trainmaster was directing traffic around a train that had stopped at the crossing.

A driver got out of his car to speak to the trainmaster, who ordered the driver to get back into his vehicle.

Just as the driver returned, troopers says the train moved, pushing the car about four feet and damaging a window on the car.

The driver was taken to a hospital for injuries that the patrol says are not life-threatening.

The patrol expects to issue a citation.
