Salem women secretly indicted for hit-and-run death in Perry Township

Two Salem women are due to appear in a Columbiana County courtroom later this month to answer a secret indictment handed down in connection with the death of a woman as she was walking along a road.
Patricia Lynn Phillips, 29, faces one count of failure to stop after an accident. Additionally, 30-year-old Brandy Phillips has been indicted on one count of Obstruction of Justice related to the accident.
According to a traffic report, state troopers believe Patricia was driving a pickup truck that struck and killed 46-year-old Brandy Lynn Lasky as she was walking along Route 344 in Perry Township early on the morning of March 11, 2022.
According to an indictment, Brandy Phillips communicated false information to police in order to aid Patricia.
According to her obituary, Lasky was a 1994 graduate of Salem High School, a mom, and a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Both are scheduled for an arraignment on June 29.
