Warren Police say they’ll be looking at video from security cameras along Market Street in hopes of finding out who stole some flower baskets recently placed on the Women’s Veterans Bridge.

Four of six custom-made metal frame baskets that Friends of the Greenhouse Consortium had placed on the bridge walls last week were missing when members of the volunteer organization returned to install large flower boxes on Monday.

One of the baskets, each valued at $200, was found on the west bank of the river, below the bridge.

Friends of the Greenhouse Consortium is an all-volunteer organization that receives 100% of its funding from the two-day annual plant sale at Packard Park Greenhouse in May.

Members donate the plants and labor as well as take care of the public planting in Downtown Warren.
