City leaders in Warren are trying to figure out who vandalized the shelter house at Quinby Park over the weekend.

Warren Sixth Ward Councilwoman Cheryl Saffold tells 21 news some of the windows were broken inside and were damaged along with the security cameras. Saffold says a deadbolt was installed on the door, but it wasn't strong enough.

"We have put a lot of time and energy and effort into revamping the park so for someone to come in and damage it is very disheartening," Saffold said.

Saffold has reached out to Warren Police to see if outdoor security camera footage picked up any suspects. This issue will be addressed at Wednesday's Council meeting.

Council hopes to have an alarm system in place soon.
