Friends and Family of Justin R. House, a firefighter and U.S. airman who lost his life to suicide, will be hosting the third annual Justin R. House Softball Tournament on July 15 at 10 a.m.

The funds raised at the event will benefit the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley (RMMV) and Stop Soldier Suicide (SSS).

House lost his life in 2020. The first annual softball tournament was held in 2021 and raised more than $3,000 for RMMV and SSS, The second tournament in 2022 raised $6,000.

This year, the family hopes to have a bigger turnout.

 "We do this tournament every year because Justin loved playing baseball with his friends," said Teresa, Justin's mother. "So, this tournament is the best way to bring people together. Even more, Justin had a huge heart for people. The money raised for stop soldier suicide and the Rescue Mission will continue to share his love and life to those who need to be seen and loved."
