Firefighters were called out to a gas station on Youngstown's Southside early Tuesday.

A fire alarm was called in at around 5 a.m. from the Shell gas station and convenience store on East Midlothian at South Avenue.

The first firefighter to arrive reported seeing light smoke coming from the building.

Investigators say it appeared that the smoke was coming from a vending machine due to an electrical issue.

Once the smoke was cleared, the gas station reopened for business.

Most of the fire trucks were able to clear the scene in about 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported.
