YOUNGSTOWN - A large group of people holding weapons drew a heavy police presence on Youngstown's south side Friday night.

Police were called to the 400 block of West Judson Avenue around 10 PM Friday on reports of a group holding assault rifles and pistols outside on the sidewalk.

Upon arrival, police say at least one round was fired at an officer.  Police shut down the street and surrounding areas and backup was called in from Liberty, Campbell and YSU police to assist in locating the suspect who fired the round.

Police were unable to locate the suspect and no officers were injured.  Police say a memorial service was being held at the time in a backyard.

Captain Jason Simon is asking anyone with information to contact the Youngstown Police Department.
