WEST SALEM TWP., Pa. - A 63-year-old woman faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon in Mercer County.  Police say the “weapon” in this case is a Ford Explorer, and the victim is her older brother.

Cindy Jo Field of Meadville was arrested last week on the 300 block of Wise Road in West Salem Township after police say she drove the SUV erratically around a yard, intentionally running into her 69-year-old brother.

The report says the brother was injured but does not give information about the nature of his injuries or condition.

Field, who was arrested and arraigned on two counts of aggravated assault, one count of simple assault, and harassment, is free on $5,000 bond pending another court hearing on August 1.
