Youngstown man rejects plea deal, will go on trial for Warren murder

A Youngstown man has rejected a plea deal and is scheduled to go on trial later this month for robbing and murdering a man at a home in Warren.
Ronieque Requel, 26, is accused of shooting 29-year-old Adam Spaid during the burglary of a home on Milton SE in February. Spaid was taken to hospital where he died.
A grand jury indicted Requel on seven counts including aggravated murder, robbery, burglary, intimidation, receiving stolen property, and a weapons violation
According to the prosecutor's office, during a court hearing on Tuesday, Requel and his public defender turned down an offer to accept a sentence of 40 years to life in prison in return for a guilty plea.
Givens is scheduled to go on trial on July 31.
