Two arrested after Wednesday afternoon standoff in Warren
Two people were arrested following a standoff in Warren Wednesday afternoon.
A 21 News crew arrived in the area of Forest Street NE and Vine Avenue NE around 4 p.m.
SWAT officers say the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Wayne Perry threatened to start shooting at police in the area.
After about three hours, Perry was handcuffed and taken into custody.
A woman came out of the house a few minutes before the man but was not handcuffed.
According to a police report from Warren PD, the standoff stemmed from a foot pursuit with Perry, who police say had multiple domestic violence warrants, as well as warrants for felonious assault and failure to comply.

Police say Perry barricaded himself in a home, but eventually surrendered himself to police.
Additionally, police arrested a second suspect, identified as 29-year-old Robert White, who was also in the home. Police say White had a warrant for petty theft.

Both were scheduled to be arraigned in the Warren Municipal Court on Thursday, July 20 at 9:30 a.m., but Perry was instead arraigned in the common pleas court.
Perry is currently being held without bond.
