State Troopers in Pennsylvania are searching for a man they believe shot a child Sunday morning.

Officials with the Pennsylvania State Police say the shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. in Jamestown. The suspect fled after the incident.

Those officials tell 21 News they believe the shooting was accidental, and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The child is in stable condition.
