A pit bull that was found tied to the tracks of a railroad in Youngstown is now up for adoption.

The female dog, named Camie, is healthy and is considered to be a stray animal before being rescued.

The Mahoning County Dog Warden tells 21 News that the original owner of the dog could not be identified.

On July 10, the dog was tied to the railroad tracks around 8:30 a.m. next to a business on E. Florida Avenue.

She was not actually found until 11:30 a.m. by the business owner.

The warden says they have identified the person that allegedly tied the dog to the track, however no names were given as the investigation is still on going.

The information has been given to the Mahoning County Prosecutor.
