AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - The Mahoning County OVI Task Force has released the results from its latest sobriety checkpoint.

The checkpoint was held in Austintown on July 21 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the area of the former K-Mart on Mahoning Avenue.

A total of 486 vehicles passed through the checkpoint and four cars were sent to the diversion area.

The checkpoint led to one arrest for OVI, two summonses for driving under suspension, two adult restraint citations, one child restraint citation, one marked lanes citation, a citation for expired registration and two tickets for headlights required.

OVI checkpoints are funded by federal grant money through the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
