Man charged in Sharon murder has arraignment set for September

The case of a suspect accused in the shooting death of a Sharon man has been forwarded to Mercer County Common Pleas Court.
Seon Perry, 32, is charged with criminal homicide, robbery, conspiracy, burglary, and cruelty to animals for his alleged part in the 2019 murder of 24-year-old Khalil Hopson.
Perry was arrested in May in North Dakota, two years after he was charged in connection to the shooting death of Hopson on May 23, 2019.
The case was held for court after Perry waived a hearing on Monday before a district magistrate.
Two other people have been sentenced in connection to the crime.
Alexis Holmes of New Castle is serving an 18 to 40-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to robbery and burglary.
Eddie Robinson Jr. of Youngstown was sentenced to 15 to 45 years in prison on charges of third-degree murder, animal cruelty and perjury.
Perry's charges were bound over to Common Pleas Court. His formal arraignment is set for September 26 at 9 a.m.
