Youngstown State University's John J. McDonough Museum of Art has received $11,292 in grant funding from the Ohio Arts Council Board, according to a release.

The funding, provided as a sustainability grant, was awarded as part of a $21.8 million program focused around providing funds to "a wide range of the state's arts providers as they make high-quality artistic experiences available to residents and visitors."

According to the museum, the grant funding goes towards keeping some of it's exhibits open, like its Emerging Artist series, which was established to create new opportunities for emerging visual and performance artists.
