Natural gas supply charges to decrease in Mercer County

Mercer County, Pa. - Mercer County neighbors will be paying less for natural gas after National Fuel submitted its annual adjustment to gas supply charges to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC).
According to the release, the adjustment to gas supply charges goes into effect Tuesday. National Fuel's increase in base delivery rates also begins August 1.
The combined rate adjustments will drop National Fuel customers' monthly bill for a typical homeowner. For example, the monthly bill for someone with an annual usage rate of 99,000 cubic feet of gas will decrease by $25.85, from $89.50 to $64.05.
Natural Fuel says supply charges will decrease by 58% due to lower market prices for gas.
The next possible adjustment to gas supply charges is November 1.
