Arlington Manor tenants no longer face threat of utility shutoff

PYMATUNING TWP., Pa. - Tenants at Arlington Manor in Pymatuning Township face quite the scare in mid July when they found bright orange letters posted on their doors warning them that they could face utility shutoffs, as their landlord had not paid the water or wastewater bill for two months.
Now, these tenants are breathing a sigh of relief, as that threat is no longer present.
The utility company who sent those letters, Reynolds Utilities confirmed with 21 News that those bills are now up to date and tenants will not be facing any utility shutoffs.
When asked when these bills were paid, Reynolds employees told us they could not speak to that, but assure tenants that the bills have been taken care of.
Previously, tenants were given two options in order to keep their electricity: either have part of the difference come out of their monthly rent or chip in with other tenants to pay the bill, which totaled to $10,330.31. For a lot of tenants, neither of these options would work.
21 News has reached out to TM Associates, the Rockville, Maryland-based property management company that owns Arlington Manor for further comment and is waiting for a response.
