GM shows off Ultium powered Blazer Police Pursuit Vehicle

DETROIT - General Motors is showing off what is being billed as the first all-electric Chevrolet Blazer EV Police Pursuit Vehicle based on the Ultium Cells platform.
A twelve-and-a-half-minute promotional video posted on YouTube shows the features of the 498 horsepower, all-wheel drive car that GM says will have a top speed of 130 miles per hour and a range of 250 miles on a full charge.
The Blazer EV PPV supports multiple charging levels with the capability to accept 19.2 kW from a Level 2 charging station, which means it charges faster at that level.
The PPV comes standard with an HD rear vision camera, lane change alert, rear camera mirror, and a rear cross-traffic alert.

A protective idle feature allows officers to keep the PPV idling while away from the vehicle. The car can only be driven when it detects a nearby fob carried by the officer.
The interior features an 11-inch diagonal driver information center and a 17.7-inch diagonal center touch screen.
Ultium batteries are currently being produced at a plant in Lordstown. More battery factories are under construction.
GM says the Blazer EV PPV will be available to order this Fall with production slated for early next year.
