YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - An award-winning taco chain is slated to launch Youngstown's very first virtual kitchen.

Jimboy's Tacos, a chain that's been around since 1954 has opened the city's first virtual kitchen on Monday, August 21 and will be offering delivery-only service.

Customers can order online through Jimboy's online ordering system or through third party delivery apps such as DoorDash and GrubHub.

Virtual kitchens, otherwise known as "ghost kitchens," "dark kitchens," "cloud kitchens," etc. are designed for off-premise dining with a focus on cooking for online ordering and delivery services, meaning there will be no dining room or counters for ordering.

Jimboy's is known for its signature crispy tacos whose shells are dusted with parmesan cheese. The chain also serves burritos, refried beans, Spanish rice and homemade tortilla chips and salsas.

The chain also offers a rewards program through its mobile app, which offers a free ground beef taco just for signing up, as well as other rewards.

The Youngstown location will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A complete menu can be found here.
