Newton Falls man sentenced for attempted child endangerment

WARREN, Ohio - A Newton Falls man has been sentenced for his role in a child endangerment case involving him and his wife.
Twenty-nine-year-old Kyle McElravy appeared before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Andrew Logan on Tuesday and was handed a nine-month jail sentence.
McElravy pleaded guilty earlier to two amended counts of attempted endangering of children, a felony in the fourth degree. The third count was dismissed at sentencing.
According to the criminal complaint, the case against McElravy was initiated after a video was released that recorded an Aug. 14, 2022, incident where a young boy was struck in the head. Deputies were dispatched to the McElravy home after a tip was provided by the Center for Safety and Healing at a Columbus hospital in reference to child abuse at the home.
His ex-wife, Amber Rae McElravy, 27, was sentenced in May to 12 months in the Trumbull County jail on four counts of third-degree felony child endangering.
