State Troopers are investigating the death of a Salem man who was struck by a pickup truck while crossing State Route 45 in Salem Township.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol tells 21 News that  38-year-old Jonathan Hopkins was crossing the road just north of Route 558 at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was struck by a Ford Ranger being driven by a 66-year-old Salem man.

Hopkins was taken to Salem Regional Medical Center, where he died.  The pickup truck driver wasn't injured.

Troopers say no charges have been filed as of Thursday.
