A number of new road construction projects could affect the commute of drivers in Trumbull County.

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced three new projects that will begin the week of September 11.

The first project impacts State Route 46 and 82 in Howland Township and are part of the diverging Diamond Interchange. There will be daily lane restrictions on State Route 46 between Market Street and U.S. 422, and on State Route 82 between Elm Road and Howland Wilson Road.

Also on State Route 82, the ramp from East Market Street to State Route 82 will be closed through November 2024, beginning on September 14.

In Weathersfield Township, another portion of State Route 46 will close from Saturday morning through Sunday morning between Gilbert Street and Ohltown-McDonald Road for drainage improvements.

Lane restrictions will continue on State Route 46 in Weathersfield between Gibert Street and Prospect Drive through mid-October 2023.
