Drug, gambling indictments handed up against Youngstown convenience store

The Mahoning County Grand Jury has handed up drug and gambling indictments following an investigation into alleged activities at a Youngstown convenience store.
A report issued on Thursday charged Youngstown's South Avenue Gas and Food Mart and Sukhvinder Multani with two felony counts each of possession of dangerous drugs, as well as one misdemeanor count each of gambling.
According to court records, the store and Multani have the same address of 2325 South Avenue, Youngstown.
The indictments were handed up in the form of a direct presentment, in which a grand jury considers the evidence without first being presented in a lower court.
A summons has been issued for Multani to answer the charges before a judge in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
