Power outage gives some Trumbull County students a long weekend

The Liberty Local School District canceled Friday classes due to a power outage.

LIBERTY TWP, Ohio - The Liberty Local School District canceled Friday classes due to a power outage.

According to the FirstEnergy website, as of 6:30 a.m., 1,117 outages were reported in Fowler, Hartford, Johnson, Kinsman, Vernon, and Vienna Townships, as well as Cortland.

Power was restored by 7:20 a.m. FirstEnergy blamed the outage on broken equipment.
