Austintown Police ID victim of fatal Compass West shooting

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Police have released the name of the man shot to death in the parking lot of an Austintown apartment complex over the weekend.
A police report says 22-year-old Vincent Tarver was shot several times near his Compass West Drive apartment at around 10 p.m. Friday.
The first officers called to the parking lot say they administered first aid to Tarver, who was taken to Mercer Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A 21-year-old Youngstown woman who was wounded in the side during the shooting ran to a nearby apartment and was later taken to the hospital for further treatment.
Witnesses told police they heard people arguing for about ten minutes before several shots rang out.
Officers were told by some who saw what happened that three men could be seen running away from the shooting scene.
Police say a 17-year-old male suspect has been arrested.
