Judge Dominic Leone resigning from Struthers Municipal Court
Judge Dominic Leone is resigning from Struthers Municipal Court.
According to the Ohio Supreme Court, Judge Leone has submitted his notification to resign as judge to the Ohio Supreme Court, and a letter of resignation to Governor Mike DeWine.
Judge Leone lost during the May 2023 primary when running for re-election for Struthers Municipal Court.
Shortly after the May primary, Struthers Mayor Catherine Cercone Miller filed an emergency protection order against Judge Leone, claiming he was harassing her and she felt intimated by him.
In June, a visiting judge granted a restraining order for Miller against Judge Leone through May 4, 2025.
The governor's office will appoint a new judge to fill the vacancy for the remainder of Leone's term.
