There’s a new festival in Downtown Youngstown bringing the vibrant culture of Hispanic Heritage to Valley, Hola Fest.

The inaugural Hola Fest Youngstown will be held Saturday at Wean Park, kicking off with a parade, pageant, dance instruction and several food vendors in attendance.

”It's so nice to be able to come together to laugh and dance. When you hear our music, all you want to do is shake your body. Hola fest needs to be experienced by everybody not just Latinos, but everybody," said Christina Rivera.

"I enjoy the food and dances that comes from Hispanic culture but for me, I want to be careful that we don’t just learn to understand culture, but we understand the community that comes with culture. There a real people behind the cultures that we enjoy, said Hola Fest Youngstown! Founder, Derrick McDowell.
