YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - September is Suicide Prevention Month and Valley nonprofit Full Spectrum Community Outreach hosted a training session to help people recognize the signs and symptoms and ultimately save a life.

They held QPR training, which stands for "Question, Persuade and Refer."

The training focused on how to notice the signs and ask those at risk tough questions.

"We want to help them understand that we would like them to stay alive. That's the key, but sometimes it's just persuading them to get help and find the right resources," Amy Zell, Trumbull County Loss Founder and Director said.

If you or someone you know could be at risk, call 211 or the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988 to help find those resources.
