BEAVER TWP., Ohio - Authorities shut down a portion of State Route 164 in Beaver Township for about 45 minutes Thursday morning.

First responders were dispatched to Route 164, also known as South Avenue when wires were reported down and debris was on the road at around 6:15 a.m. Thursday.

State Troopers say that an unknown vehicle fled the scene after striking a utility pole between West Pine Lake and South Range Roads earlier in the morning, causing wires to dip.

Those wires were snagged later by a passing tractor-trailer, pulling the lines down further.  No injuries were reported.
