WASHINGTON - A freshman U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania is taking his fellow Democrat’s ridicule of the GOP-led impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden further, apparently believing that pictures are worth a thousand words.

Senator John Fetterman’s office circulated two photos to the news media on Thursday.  One shows Fetterman holding a pack of Bud Light with a red ribbon and a printed note attached that was directed to House Oversight Chairman James Comer.

The note reads:

TO: REP. COMER AND HIS SQUAD. A PROFILE IN COURAGE CAN MAKE A GUY THIRSTY. CONGRATULATIONS, THIS BUD'S FOR YOU. HUGS & KISSES: JOHN FETTERMAN.

The other photo shows the beer sitting on the floor outside the door of the House Oversight Committee Hearing room.

A short tongue-in-cheek statement accompanying the photos says that Fetterman directed his staff to “deliver a gift to the House Oversight Committee to congratulate and salute Representative Comer and his Team America squad as they embark on their historic impeachment journey.”

The Bud Light brand became the target of a boycott by some conservatives this past year after Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender influencer, promoted the beer on Instagram.

According to Reuters, when asked earlier this month about the impeachment inquiry into Biden, Fetterman clutched his head in mock horror and declared "Oh my God, really?" before bursting into laughter.
