Boardman woman arrested for arson

A woman is in jail after a drunken night led to a fiery situation with Boardman police.
Sabina Olsavsky, 35, of Boardman, has been arrested for arson and charged with possessing criminal tools and domestic violence/making threats.
Officers were dispatched Sunday, Oct. 1, to the 1900 block of Brandon Avenue to respond to a verbal argument between a male and Olsvasky, who was holding a knife. There was also reports of an active trashcan fire at the residence this dispute was at.
When they arrived, police detained Olsavsky and located the fire inside the garage, which also had a nearby propane tank.
According to a Boardman police report, Olsavsky texted the victim, who was her boyfriend of three months, that she would be burning his belongings when she got home from a night of drinking with her friends.
When the victim got home, they saw a trashcan fire in the garage. The police report states that about $12,000 worth of items were damaged in the fire, including clothing, household items $8,000 worth of tools and the windshield of a 1994 Jeep Wrangler.
On scene Olsavsky was charged with domestic violence threats and arson, though court records do not show a record of latter charge.
A preliminary hearing will be held Nov. 7 at 10:30 a.m. in the Mahoning County Court.
