South Range Local Schools investigating campus bomb threat

South Range Schools were searched Tuesday after an indicated bomb threat.
Officials were alerted near the end of the day to the discovery of a note by a student that indicated a bomb threat.
South Range Local Schools Superintendent Jarred Zapolnik sent an all-call to provide updates on the situation, and provided information from Beaver Police Chief Eric Datillo.
After being made aware of the threat, the Beaver Police Department along with school officials deemed the threat not credible.
For additional assurance, a search was conducted with bomb sniffing K9 units from Canfield Police and Akron Children's Police Department, and the campus has been cleared.
According to the superintendent, the campus will have an increased police presence Wednesday out of an abundance of caution.
The threat is currently under investigation.
