VIENNA TWP., Ohio - Trumbull County Commissioners voted unanimously on Wednesday to grant a 60% tax incentive for Vienna Township-based pallet supplier, Millwood Inc. for the construction of a new facility on International Boulevard in Vienna.

According to Commissioner Dennis Malloy, this will be a 60% tax incentive over the next 10 years. The project has an estimated cost of $5 million and is expected to create 50 full time jobs within the next four years.

Malloy tells 21 News that Millwood did not have to go through the Mathews Local School District for approval for this project stating that 60% is the maximum they could ask for without the school district getting involved.

Malloy says he's unaware of any opposition from the school board or residents stating that Vienna Township trustees voted unanimously in favor of the project Monday night and that no one showed up to Wednesday's commissioners meeting in opposition.

21 News has reached out to Mathews Local Schools Superintendent, Russell McQuaide for comment and we are waiting to hear back.
