If you're in Sharon, you may notice an extra blossom or a flourish in the community.

That's because Lots To Love, a program coordinated by the Community Action Partnership of Mercer County and Sharon has completed two garden projects, Serenity Garden and a community garden on Lafayette Avenue.

The program, which launched in 2020, was created as to rehabilitate certain neighborhoods in Sharon. The program is coordinated via a partnership between the City of Sharon and Community Action Partnership of Mercer County.

"The program was started as a way to reduce blight but to also beautify the neighborhoods by adding projects like the Serenity Garden, which is a green space that residents can visit and enjoy without having to travel far" said Christina Campbell, Lots to Love Project Supervisor.

The projects were were funded by a Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement Fund (PHARE) Grant from the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency for $120,000, of which $52,000 was used for the projects.
