#1 Cochran, one of Pennsylvania's largest car dealer networks, has announced it is expanding its reach by purchasing Northeast Ohio's Flynn Automotive Group.

The acquisition includes all of Flynn's stores: The Honda Store and Donnell Ford in Boardman, Power Chevrolet, Buick, GMC in East Liverpool, and Columbiana Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac.

A release from #1 Cochran also says a collision center in Columbiana is included in the deal.

#1 Cochran first entered the Youngstown market in January with the acquisition of Sweeney Chevrolet, Buick, GMC. Five months later, in June, they also acquired Boardman Nissan.

"We had our sights set on this dynamic automotive hub for quite some time. When the Sweeney opportunity arose, we viewed it as the ideal point of entry, and we've been forging ahead ever since," Mr. Cochran said, adding, "From the day we opened, customers and the community welcomed us with open arms, and we are proud to further invest in this area."

#1 Cochran says, "Most of the Flynn Group's 225 employees are joining #1 Cochran, bringing the company's total team member count to more than 1,800."

21 News reached out to #1 Cochran to inquire about the closure of Flynn Auto Group's Donnel Ford Lincoln of Salem in late September, as it is currently unclear whether the closure was part of the acquisition agreement.
