Occupants of at least one vehicle were seriously injured in an accident on I-680 southbound Saturday afternoon.

According to a Youngstown firefighter on scene, the accident involved four or five vehicles, with occupants in at least one vehicle suffering "serious injuries." 

Youngstown Fire dispatch also reports that they are closing down the entrance ramp from Oakwood Ave. onto 680 southbound and restricting travel to one lane in the southbound direction near Exit 4a, which leads to SR 193 towards New Castle.

It is unclear at this time how many others may be injured, or what caused the accident.
