BOARDMAN, Ohio - Some well-known names in the Boardman community were honored at the township's annual Civic Associations Community Awards dinner.

Ken Goldsboro received the Citizen of the Year award and Tom Grantonic was awarded for his community service.

Those honored were selected by the association's board and the decision is based on the impact they've had on the community.

The township's Business Person of the Year, Joe Rzonsa, owns the Blue Wolf Tavern and the Garden Kettle.

He said he was humbled to receive this recognition.

"We've neem om Boardman now for just a little over two decades and it's been a tremendous partnership, not just with the community but its residents, diners and visitors," Rzonsa told 21 News.

Two awards also went to businesses.

BCP Development was recognized for its remodel of RNR Tires and the Keen Property Group was honored for the new Starbucks on Market Street.
