Warren man accused of defrauding ETI Technical College students changes plea

WARREN, Ohio - A Warren man changes his plea in local college defrauding case.
Keyondre Smith, 23, plead guilty in Trumbull County Court to one count of passing bad checks, one count of forgery, and one count of counterfeiting.
Smith allegedly began defrauded ETI Technical College with several others in February of 2023. About $36,000 was stolen from the school across multiple students.
Prosecutors named 25-year-old Asher Lewis, 21-year-old Montria Adair, 18-year-old Kendrick Tipton, 26-year-old Khymoni Honzu, 29-year-old Darreion Owens and 34-year-old Eric Pyatt as suspects in the case as well.
Court records show indictments filed against all of these suspects with forgery charges, as well as warrants issued for their arrests.
