A greenhouse in Salem helped raise over $5,000 for foster kids in the Valley.

Lutz Greenhouse teamed up with NOAS to raise $5,566.50 to help support foster youth and their families.

From September 2 through October 8, Lutz collected donations for a 50/50 raffle drawing, and prize drawing where participants could win from 100 outdoor garden accessories donated by the greenhouse.

NOAS provides foster care services to children, teens and families by recruiting, preparing and supporting specialized families. Currently, there are more than 15,000 foster children living in foster care throughout Ohio.

"The Lutz Greenhouse family has been so generous, and we are so grateful. With these funds, we will be able to continue providing essential services to foster youth and their families. We are overwhelmed by the support," said Cheryl Tarantino, NOAS Executive Director.
