Fisher Price recalls toy train part for choking, ingestion hazard for children
Parents who let their kids play with Thomas Train toys may want to be cautious and check them before letting them play with them again.
Fisher Price Inc. has recalled Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway Troublesome Truck & Crates and Truck & Paint toy pieces.
The company says a small plastic piece containing a high-powered magnet that connects the trains can detach or become loose, posing a choking and ingestion hazard.
About 21,000 units have been sold in America and 400 in Canada, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The products were sold at websites like Amazon and stores like Barnes & Noble between February 2022 through August 2023.
According to the CPSC, consumers should immediately stop using the toys and go to www.service.mattel.com and click on “Recalls & Safety Alerts” for instructions on how to receive a pre-paid return label via email from Fisher-Price.
Upon receipt of the returned product, consumers will be sent a full refund.
