Canned food sold in Ohio, Pennsylvania recalled due to undeclared allergens
Aunt Kitty's Foods Inc., a business based in Vineland, New Jersey, is recalling 15,728 pounds of canned chicken pot pie soup products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.
The soup, which is sold in Pennsylvania and Ohio, is the Hanover Classics Chicken Pot Pie canned soup.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Services (FSIS), the soup contains soy a known allergen - which is not on the can's label.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.
Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
