One suspect is currently behind bars after Youngstown and Liberty police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol dealt with a chase Wednesday night.
It's unclear why or where the chase started but 21 News crews saw the pursuit go through downtown Youngstown and into Liberty. There were a number of YPD and OSP cruisers following the car as well as a helicopter trailing from above.
Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatchers said officers had stopped the car around 8:30 p.m.
Liberty police confirmed that the suspects were caught in the area of the Youngstown Country Club and Redfern Drive. One suspect identified by OSP as 23-year-old Thomas Kusic was taken to the Mahoning County Jail.
Kusic is charged with failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer, as well as a speed/assured clear distance violation.
Youngstown police are handling the investigation.
