A 22-year-old from Warren plead guilty to charges related to the shooting of a 9-year-old girl back in June.

Say'Quan Parks plead to eight felony counts among numerous other charges in a Trumbull County Court on Thursday.

It happened on June 18th of 2023, shortly after midnight. Police said Parks was outside a supermarket off Youngstown Warren Road SE, when he fired shots at another man.

Prosecutors say the child was at home with her family when one of those bullets came through the wall of the house. The bullet hit her in the arm, shattering the bone. The gunfire also hit another nearby home, narrowly missing the people inside.

Parks originally plead not guilty.

Parks could face up to 82.5 years in prison. He will be sentenced at a later date.

After undergoing surgery, the girl was sent home to recover.
