Police currently investigating Thursday afternoon homicide of Beloit woman

Smith Township Police are currently investigating the homicide of a Beloit woman Thursday afternoon.
According to a press release from Smith Township PD, police were dispatched to a home on the 18000 block of Courtney Road shortly after 3:00 p.m. for a medical call.
Upon arrival, police found 44-year-old Gena Wade, who was pronounced dead. This death is currently being investigated as a homicide.
The Mahoning County Homicide Task Force and BCI both assisted at the scene.
At this time, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been named. Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to call 330-938-2807 and ask to speak to detective Steve McDaniel.
