The Youngstown State Penguins dominant first half helps the team move to 5-3 on the season. 

Mitch Davidson sparked the Penguins offense. The first two drives for Youngstown State resulted in two passing touchdowns for Davidson. A few drives later, Davidson found Bryce Oliver for a 51-yard touchdown to give the Penguins a 21-7 lead. 

The duo of Mitch Davidson and Bryce Oliver connected once again on a 20-yard touchdown in the second quarter to give YSU a 28-14 lead. Andrew Lastovka added to that lead making a field goal from 27 yards out to give the Penguins a 31-14 lead going into the half. 

In the third quarter, Dra Rushton punched in a score from one yard out to make it 38-14. The Bears would score two straight touchdowns to help close the gap, but the Penguins would hold on to win. Andrew Lastovka added six more to the YSU lead with two field goals to seal the win in the 4th quarter. 

Mitch Davidson finishes the game with 390 passing yards and 4 touchdowns to help the Penguins win 44-28 over the Missouri State Bears. 

The Penguins will now go on the road for the team's next matchup on November 4th against Indiana State.
