New Castle man pleads guilty to drug trafficking, firearms crimes

A New Castle man is facing a sizeable amount of time behind bars for drug trafficking and firearms crimes.
Sahire Walker, 45, was convicted for possession of cocaine base with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Walker could be at risk of facing between five years and life in prison with a fine of $2,250,000.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program launched in 2021, which aims to bring together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence, and to make our neighborhoods safer for everyone.
Walker will be sentenced March 26, 2024 at 11 a.m.
