YOUNGSTOWN - The Youngstown Area Jewish Federation leading dozens of their own Hundreds of miles away for a March in Washington D.C. for three reasons.

"To stand with the people of Israel, two is to stand up to the rising cases of anti-semitism here in the United States and across the world and three is to stand in solidarity with the hostages asking for their release," said Lisa Long, Finance Resource Director for the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation.

This group just one of 146 Jewish Federations all across North America, coming together on one accord.

"Putting pressure on different countries to also support Israel, to help release the hostages and to really crack down on anti-semitism," Long said.

For some, this situation is all too familiar, but there's a sense of hope that history might repeat itself.

"It's 55 years today that I came to Washington once before to protest another injustice," said Mark Huberman, President of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation. "The war in Vietnam and it made a difference, the war did come to an end shortly after," he said.

So even after today's march, the Jewish Federation says they will continue lobbying for a resolution and an end to this war.
